Where sambal oelek is very spicy, Sambal Badjak (or: Bajak) contains fried peppers, taking out the hottest flavors, and then garlic and onions are added. Definitely more a specific flavour compared to sambal oelek. Is has a milder taste and is therefore easier to eat for many people.
Sambal Badjak does not contain salt, in contrast to sambal oelek.
Oelek is a more basic sambal, while Badjak is a better choice for more complex flavours.
Sambal Badjak is packed in a 200 gram container.
